The stamps project was done at SUNY New Paltz in 2020.  The goal was to create stamps and a map that projected one of the national parks in the United States.

Stamps

The project consists of showcasing two popular animals located in the Everglades National Park in Florida. This includes the Eastern Indigo snake and the the Southern Leopard Frog. This page also shows different stationary being used with the stamps which includes an envelope and postcard.

Objectives

Creating a stamp that represents a national park and the animals that habitat the area.

Make my own illustrations that capture the animal in a crisp light. Also keep in mind the habitat in which they survive.

Incorporate the location in a fun way with typography. Have the typography support main illustration.

Early sketches

Scanned Documents.jpg

Early sketches help me understand the layout. I can figure out what type works better with the illustration of the animal and background. Quick sketches help me bring to life the movement of the design.
