Sugar and Spice
Sugar and Spice is a project created at SUNY New Paltz during my last semester. The goal was to create a restaurant brand that included a menu, logo design and products.
I was highly inspired by a personal trip to Miami, Florida with friends. The objective was to capture the fun and excitement that Miami brings to people of all ages. I chose to focus on a brand that brings a hyper feminine aesthetic mixed with adult humor throughout the restaurant brand.
Objectives
Create a restaurant business that incorporates the local community through the food. Use the vibrant energy of Miami to inspire a food menu.
Gear the branding towards a hyper feminine focus. Inquire bright color palette and branding that attracts young females in early their early 20's and 30's.
Make a logo for people to connect with that includes the tropical location along with an upbeat color scheme.

Logo Development
Problem
One of the biggest challenges was creating a logo that reminded me of the constant energy of Miami. I wanted to include a logo that shows one can enjoy the Miami sun and water from a night out.
Approach
I tried to bring the idea of the sun, water, and a exciting font into the logo. I tried many iterations until I reached one that I feel is suitable for Sugar and Spice restaurant.
